METU Political Science and Public Administration
Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences
METU Political Science and Public Administration examines political systems, public policy, and state governance, and is part of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences. Courses such as political theory, public administration, public policy analysis, and local government form the foundation of the curriculum.
The department provides both theoretical political science and practical public administration skills. It offers in-depth knowledge of Turkeys political and administrative structure while also broadening perspective through comparative politics and international examples.
Graduates can work at public institutions (district governorships, ministries, municipalities), non-governmental organizations, political parties, the media sector, or in academia. The departments curriculum also gives an advantage in preparing for exams such as the civil service exam (KPSS) and the district governorship exam.
