METU Molecular Biology and Genetics

METU Molecular Biology and Genetics examines the genetic structure, gene expression, and molecular processes of living organisms, sitting at the intersection of biology and chemistry. Courses such as genetics, cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular biology techniques form the foundation of the curriculum.
The department has an intensive laboratory culture — techniques such as DNA/RNA analysis, gene cloning, and cell culture are taught to students hands-on. It is known as one of the strongest programs in this field in Turkey, and its graduates have a high rate of academic success.
