METU METU-SUNY English Language Teaching

METU-SUNY English Language Teaching is a special dual-degree program run jointly by METU and the State University of New York (SUNY). Students complete part of their education at METU and part at a SUNY campus, graduating with the opportunity to receive diplomas from both institutions.
Similar to the standard English Language Teaching program, the curriculum includes courses in linguistics, literature, and teaching methods, but it also offers an international education experience and exposure to a different academic system. Time spent abroad gives students a linguistically and culturally rich experience.
Graduates can teach both in Turkey and abroad, work at international schools, or take advantage of the flexibility the dual degree offers to move into academia or other sectors.
Anyone choosing this program should be open to spending a period of time abroad, have an interest in English and teaching, and have the flexibility to adapt to living in a different culture.
